Top 5 Concept Vehicles to Look Forward To

Concept cars have always captured our attention with their futuristic design and functionality. Just when we think that the automotive technology has reached its saturation point, the big car manufacturers further push the limits and manage to surprise us with something new. While we may be far from the robot invasion but we just might see the futuristic autonomous cars running all around us in the years to come.

Here is our round up of the top 5 futuristic vehicles that would be up for grabs in near future as they go into production.

Tesla Roadster

Leave it to Tesla to design a fully electric powerhouse on 4 wheels that can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds. If that’s not enough to get you on the edge of your seat, Tesla’s Roadster also has an impressive top speed of 250 mph. Although the critiques are skeptic about the car’s ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in such a short time, but we all know Elon Musk has not let his critiques hold him back from doing something that has never been done before.

Tesla’s Roadster is projected to go into production in 2021 and if it gets launched, it has all the right elements to stun the auto enthusiasts around the world.

The future belongs to the autonomous vehicles and Mitsubishi realizes it.

Whether you are ready to put your faith into a computer to drive you around in different road conditions or would rather trust your own driving skills, Emirai 4 gives you the best of both worlds. With features like detecting driver’s health condition and bad driving habits to take full control of the vehicle, this futuristic car is definitely something to look forward to.

Mercedes Vision AVTR

Mercedes Vision AVTR

One doesn’t have to be Sherlock to figure the uncanny resemblance between James Cameron’s cinematic masterpiece, Avatar and the Mercedes Vision AVTR.

The only thing it has in common with the cars of today is that it drives on four wheels. From design to functionality, everything about Vision AVTR is revolutionary.

Designed to merge with the environment, Vision AVTR’s interior as well as the exterior is unlike any conventional car out there. The steering wheel has been replaced with a central unit that brings the car to life as soon as you put your hand on it. The central unit allows you to move the car forward, backward and even sideways. Thanks to its unique and futuristic car tires that enables its crablike movement.

Don’t be spooked if you feel like the car is trying to express emotions through its central unit (that looks like it is actually breathing), external lights and the 33 bionic  flaps at the rear that are designed to control the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

Built specifically for Uber, the aircraft can recharge within 5 to 7 minutes before it’s ready to get back in the air. So, you might have to look up to the skies instead of your doorstep in the future when you book a ride.

From fully electric autonomous vehicles to fully electric flying taxis, the future of mobility looks quite promising and we cannot wait to get our hands on these futuristic vehicles.
